We are a French art and research collective<\/strong>. Since 2015 we\u2019ve been engaging with afrofuturism, blackness and afro-perspectives with fellow BIPOC artists, activists, and researchers. <\/span><\/h3>\n

Some of us have left and some others may arrive<\/strong>, reflecting the dynamic nature of any form of collectivity. Online and AFK, publicly and behind the scenes: our aim is never simply to be visible, but to make and do things together. At our core, we are way more than just collaborators \u2014 we are family.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

This site is thus an archive<\/strong> of what we’ve done between 2015 and 2018. And right bellow, you can take a look at our former “About” presentation.<\/h3>\n

A LABORATORY FOR COLLECTIVE EXPERIMENTATION<\/b><\/h4>\n

We are both <\/span>a medium<\/b> (= we create contents) and <\/span>a media<\/b> (= a broadcasting hub) ; which means that together – creatives, searchers, activists…-, we propose formats <\/span>to tell and build, in new ways, the world <\/b>we (used to \/ want to) live in: <\/span>inclusive, sustainable and unabashed<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A TRANSMEDIA PLATFORM<\/b><\/h4>\n

We propose <\/span>online contents <\/b>(articles, mixtapes, videos), organize <\/span>events<\/b> (festive, of art and\/or academic) and develop <\/span>products <\/b>(fashion\/design, publishing + a software)… following our own pace: <\/span>slowly but surely<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

AN AFROFUTURISTIC PROSPECTIVE<\/b><\/h4>\n

Our statement is that africanity passes through all – epochs, nationalities and interests<\/b>. And we want to show that taking interest in these issues is no longer a simple humanistic duty, but a sustainable commitment, whether one is <\/span>Afro-descendant or not<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A MULTIFACETED COLLECTIVE<\/b><\/h4>\n

The project was <\/span>launched mid-2015 by Mawena Yehouessi<\/b>. Today, the current collective members are Sybil Coovi-Handemagnon, Kyo Kim, Fallon Mayanja, Jos\u00e9fa Ntjam, Nicolas Pirus and MY<\/strong><\/span>. Though we kept exchanging and collaborating with more than <\/span>50 people worldwide, all volunteers<\/b>!<\/span><\/p>\n
